Yyvette McKenzie is a retired U.S. Army veteran and one of the first documented female combat veterans who served in Iraq from 2003 to 2005. Driven by her military experience, she founded F.F. Veterans Holistic Services (FFVHS), a nonprofit in Ohio dedicated to supporting veterans and their families through wellness programs, resource referrals, and community partnerships.

Yyvette’s leadership has expanded FFVHS’s impact across Northern and Central Ohio, addressing critical needs like food security, mental health support, and sustainable community solutions. She holds dual MBAs in Organizational Psychology and Leadership Development, as well as a Master’s in IT with a focus on Project Management, enabling her to lead impactful, community-driven initiatives.

Recognized with the 2024 Ford Oval of Honor Award and the 2025 Medical Mutual Pillar Award, Yyvette is a passionate advocate, business developer, and event organizer committed to empowering veterans and fostering community connections. Her work emphasizes creating long-term solutions that promote dignity, stability, and growth for those who have served.
